LAKES & VOLCANOES – LAKE DISTRICT (4 days / 3 nights)

Day 1 | SANTIAGO / PUERTO MONTT / PUERTO VARAS

Departure from the hotel in Santiago to the airport to board flight towards Puerto Montt.

PUERTO MONTT

Assistance at the airport and transfer to Puerto Varas, located in front of Lake Llanquihue, Chile's largest lake, with volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco reflected in its clear waters.

Accommodation at selected hotel, buffet breakfast included.

Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon tour of Puerto Varas enjoying its church which was copied from one in the Black Forest, and the pastel-colored, turn-of-the-century houses lining the streets.

Around the main plaza are chic little boutiques displaying the best in handicrafts, woolen goods, jewelry, and decorative items. Then continue to Puerto Montt, for a tour of this neat Nordic appearing city settled by German colonists in 1852. Visit Costanera Avenue, the Cathedral, Observation Point for a full view of the city, Tenglo Island and Channel, and the colourful fishing village of Angelmo, where many Chilean artists have been inspired by the scene of the fishing boats.

Day 2 | PUERTO VARAS / PEULLA

Departure to Petrohue, skirting the lake towards Ensenada and the Petrohue River, stop to admire its falls and rapids. Continuation to Petrohue, where a catamaran will be boarded together with other passengers, and cross the spectacular Todos los Santos Lake, known as the Emerald lake, due to its vivid green colored waters. The atmosphere and landscapes are impressive. After an approximated navigation of two hours arrival in Peulla.

Lunch will be served at the hotel in Peulla

Day 3 | VOLCAN OSORNO / FRUTILLAR

Departing at 9:00 am from the hotel to reach the Volcano at approx. 10:30 am, una at the lift, at the cafeteria we will enjoy a coffee (not included), come back to have lunch at a local restaurant and after lunch continuation our trip to the city of Frutillar, visiting the interesting museum and then later return to Puerto Varas to meet this back in time place to have a nice tea time at Casa Lavanda English style and back to the hotel.

Day 4 | PUERTO MONTT / SANTIAGO

After breakfast transfer from the hotel to the airport in Puerto Montt, in due time to board flight with destination to Santiago.
