BREATHTAKING PATAGONIA (4 days / 3 nights)
Day 1 | SANTIAGO DE CHILE / PUNTA ARENAS
Departure from the hotel in Santiago toward the airport to board flight with destination to Punta Arenas.
PUNTA ARENAS
Arrival an assistance to the airport in Punta Arenas and transfer towards Puerto Natales to selected hotel with buffet breakfast included.
20:00 hrs. approx arrival to selected hotel for check-in.
Dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Day 2 | TORRES DEL PAINE
Departure early morning from the hotel for a FD at Torres del Paine, begining with a visit to Milodons Cave, located 15 miles (25 kms) from Puerto Natales. Continuining boarding the Sofia, Porteño and Toro lakes until we arrive to the park 150.000 acres (242.000 ha), where the surrounding changes radically towards some lagoons with bird life and at the bottom with.
The visit begins with a trekking towards the board of Grey Lake, where it is possible to icebergs and the immensity of the homonymous glacier.
Lunch will be served and is included at the Hosteria Grey. After lunch a 15 minutes walking to the interior of the park to get to Salto Grande, falls that joins two big lakes within the park the Nordenskjold and Pehoe. The road keeps boarding the Sarmiento lake and finally Amarga lake, from where we will have a panoramic view of the three Torres de Paine, (whether conditions permit). Once out of the park always the possibility to find two species of plenty local fauna, the huanaco southamerican camelidae family of the llama and nandu, family of African ostrich.
Before the excursion is over we would appreciate Cerro Castillo Villa and Figueroa lagoon.
Arrival to the hotel and dinner.
Day 3 | BALMACEDA & SERRANO GLACIER
Departure from the hotel to the Puerto Natales pier to board the boat and begin the navigation.
Excursion towards the national park Bernardo O’Higgins where the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers are located 31 miles norwest from the city of Puerto Natales and are part of the Andes mountain cordon.
The only access is by sea, navigation through the Last Hope fiord.
The trip begins from the pier and on the road it is posible to see the builings belongings of Bories cold –storage plant, which was one of the biggest processing industries of the Patagonia, also imperial cormorant, a little colony of marine wolves and a variety of plants the are part of the flora of the region, such as Coigue, Canelo, Lenga, Nire, Chilco and Calafate among others.
Lunch will be served at Estancia Perales.
Balmaceda glacier can be seen from the boat, in order to visit the Serrano, it is necessary a 20 mins. Walk by a road that skirts a little lake originated by the melting of the glaciar.
Dinner at the local restaurant and transfer to the hotel.
Day 4 | PUNTA ARENAS/SANTIAGO
After breakfast at the hotel, departure from the hotel to board flight with destination to Santiago.
